Removing BE bonnet...best way?

I know it's been covered, but my computer time is limited right now.

What's the best way to remove the bonnet?
Someone mentioned drill holes to aid replacement?
Can two people pick up the hood and move it?

Thanks...

It really takes three folks to do it without damage of special things. One on each side, slip some padding between bonnet and cowl. One underneath to unbolt and such. Prop the front end up meanwhile.

If you drill a small hole through each hinge into the bit behind you will be able to get it back on in the same position by putting the screws in just loose enough to be able to move the position, line the holes up, put a pin in then tighten the screws.

As Jack says you'll be better of having 3 people!

If you have a good paint on everything, it is a good practice to tape the edges of the bonnet and the areas that it closes against to ensure if the fit isn't right, it doesn't marre the paint. When drilling your holes through the hinges, have another person hold a vacume up close to the bit, those remnants will get everywhere and rust.

I pulled mine, but leaving the hinges in place, but pulling the pins/bolts underneath the dash.
