Hey guys...

What is the best way to take the engine out the car, with or without the gearbox? My car is Austin Healey 3000 BN7. Thanks for the reply's!

Meersman,
Alot may depend on what you have to lift the engine. If you intend to lift both then you will have to have a lifting device that has a tall reach. I did mine without the tranny because of overhead constraints. Have a good day!

You do it without the tranny... What to do with the rranny? Loosing propshaft or something else?

Engine and transmission as one, same way the factory guys put it in. I don't even want to think about lining up the engine with the xmsn input shaft going back in.

Plenty of times I've pulled the transmission out by itself, but I've always pulled the eng/xmsn out together.
 
I agree with Randy, much easier removing and installing as a unit.
