I took off my back reflectors from my 1963 Healey 3000 for a paint job a while ago, but when I tried to put them back on a few days ago the rubber was so stiff it was almost impossible to get them back on. They are just the top reflector in the back of the Healey 3000. Moss 544-700 part number fits most of the big Healeys and you cannot order just a rubber surround to re-install the original reflector back, but have to order a complete reflector unit from them.
Does anyone have a pair of these reflectors lying around with decent rubber that i can buy? I am in Minnesota, Zipcode 55372. Will Venmo the funds if anyone has a pair of these reflectors for sale.
Also in the market for a decent distributor cap and wires that I want as a spare in case my new cap and wires start acting up since the wires were loose to start with. I am planning on putting some clips on the end of the wires to hold them in the cap when I push them into the cap, but I am anticipating some issues when I start driving the car. There are vibrations and movement in the engine which could dislodge the clips and the wires and need a spare in case I get stranded and need to get back home. I have already invested in 2 new caps and 2 sets of wires which I bought a while ago, and with the push-in style that i installed, the wires are loose and the screw-in type I cannot get 2 of the screws loose to put the wires in there to use that one.
