Refilling the cooling system .

Is there any practical way to refill the cooling system after draining the whole thing, heater and all? Upon first crank to wear in my new cam, I have to run the engine at 2000 rpm for twenty minutes before I shut down. Would like to have a completely filled cooling system. I guess I could leave the cap off and fill as it circulates but would rather have the whole system filled and sealed. Any trick for running a hose or something. Plus, it is up on blocks and in my garage. Don't look forward to flooding the whole house. We dodged Katrina and Rita. I don't think my homeowner's insurance would buy into Hurricane Triumph for flood purposes.

Just leave the cap off and fill it as it warms up. The engine won't be hot enough for it to be effected, and the pressure will be low enough that it won't boil over. It should only take a few seconds for it to fill and circulate through the engine anyway. Then you can put the cap back on and let it continue to run for the remainder of the time.
