Red Sprite Mk2 Black Carpet - what color seats?

I have to order seat covers for some Mk1 Midget seats I'll be putting in my Red MK2 Sprite. I've got a new black carpet kit to go in it and I'll be recovering the interior vinyl with black.

Would red seats look great against all that black interior?

Or should I go with black?
Then there's the question of black w/ black piping, or red or white piping.

Or Red seats with white piping? Red / Red or Red / Black?

So many choices...

Is originality a matter of the style of piping and pattern, I don't see much other difference in what I've been looking at.
I'm not totally stuck on 'originality' for it's sake alone, if I also like it then sure, if I like something a bit different then I'm likely to go that way.
So black seats with black piping might be the way or maybe black with red piping.
I don't see it makes that much difference since the car will never be completely original anyway. In the 70's someone put a V-8 in it, then later it got a 948 and smoothcase put in. It's got a bog scoop bonnet at the moment I'm going to remove and put a normal bonnet on it. It will have seats out of a MK1 Midget.

So it's not going to be concourse, but it will be original enough for me.

That does look nice, well I've emailed them and also a place called PJM.
PJM has some leather covers on ebay UK right now for a pretty reasonable price, but they are for later Midgets.

I think black seats will look best but I've never really liked black with red piping. That's just my opinion.

Did MkI seats have contrasting piping or were they all one color?

The Mk1 Midget I bought a few days ago has blue seats with white piping.
The covers look very old, I have to think they are original.
