All: Happy 4th!

Question: Does anyone know where I can find some seat belts (ideally 3 pt. but lap belts are OK if that's all available) for a '62 BT7 in RED? I know Moss used to sell them but no longer does (I called recently). I've also checked with Victoria British & Hemphills. No luck, black is all that's available. I know I can find something from a generic auto parts house and jury rig it, but I'd prefer to get an attachment kit that works easily and my entire interior is red. I also suspect a smaller parts house would have them but I'd rather not pay money for catalog after catalog searching for my red needle in a British haystack. So...any leads? Many thanks.

I bought my generic red lap belts, with plain chrome buckle, a few years ago from a guy who sells on eBay. A quick search of my old Internet bookmarks shows that he is still in business. Check it out at:

The torquoise belts would have been more correct for your car.
 
Ahem. I bought the red belts for my Reno Red/black 100M, which has a red interior.

I bought dark blue belts for my Healey Blue/white car. I did consider the turquoise, but with the interior in dark blue, I opted for the matching color.

While BCF hosts several good sources for British parts and there are many U.S. based companies I have found this website a GREAT internet location for going direct to British sources for orignal parts as well....but for belts that ebay referral is hard to beat!

Do you have the original seat belt hardware (buckles, etc.)? If you do, you could send the belts of the Snake-Oyl in Texas and have them rebuilt.
