Recycled pixels - Last month's Pic of the Month

This was my last month's "Picture of the Month", recycled here for no reason other than I like it & suspect some others will, too.

This was one of the New York show cars in 1965. I took the photo at the bottom left at that show. The other 2 shots - taken by the owner - are of the same car as it exists today. Amazing what $$$ can do.

(The car wasn't dirty at the show - the picture, a 35mm slide, was damaged.)

Borrani wires... set off with a VERY nice non-red color!

Pininfarina outdid themselves with that one.

*DROOL!*

Re: Recycled pixels - Last month's Pic of the Mont

The first LM I saw in person was a red street car at Bridghampton, around '68.
It was red and had those great wire wheels.
It looked like the cars I spent all my time drawing in Study Hall.

The driver was a balding, heavy-set older guy.
I remember all this because his passenger was an amazing-looking young specimin....she looked like a real super model.

Nowadays, this wouldn't surprise me, but this was back when I was learning "how things work in life". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Well, the giveaway was that it was on the Ferrari stand at the show wasn't it! The profile (with the Pininfarina emblems)is an obvious clue also in spite of the rear window!
