I am at the point in my restoration where I need to recover and install my dashboard. Is this a do-it yourself project? If so any tips about the process or adhesives?
 
Thanks, the site is very interesting and helpful. Recommend any Healey enthusiast bookmark it. How did the gas tank restoration go? Mine sat for 20 years with gas in it. Don't know if it is worth salvaging.
 
My FUEL TANK after the Tankerite (eposydic resin) treatment
probably same at USA POR15 treatment
at the first fuel refill it have a very small leak- BUT this is intolerable for me and I will buy one NEW Steel Fuel Tank
I follow scrupulously the Tankerite instructions but have bad luck
mine FT are clean and haven't rust inside but badly damaged on the RX side by battery leakage- and dented near the plug cap
Probably your is good -after the 20 years test- look inside by
the sender hole- NO match - it is not a economic spare piece

Not terribly helpful because it's a link to a UK website that sells trim supplies, but it is important to use the correct upholstery glue.

Hope it'll help you to a US supplier.

My son trims all sorts of exotica, so the advice is based on reasonable understanding.

If you use the correct adhesive you'll be able to stretch and to lift if you have to, to avoid wrinkles and it will stick uniformly and stay stuck.
