In a thread over on the Racing forum about the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, I asked Nial if he knew Alan Patterson from Pittsburgh. Alan and I went to grade school together and I hadn't been in touch with him since 1975. Nial asked and sure enough, Alan was at the races with his white Sprite! And we have been in touch several time by emails since. Today in the snail mail was a package from Alan with a DVD of him racing. About 3-4 cars ahead of him is a green MG wearing the number 909! So very cool! And Alan wants to join us here at BCF! So when he comes on board, be sure to give him the warmest of BCF welcomes as you all always do! And Nial, special thanks for helping two long time friends reconnect! Gotta love the BCF!!! :D

Alan is great guy and fun to race with.

His family was instrumental is starting the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.....a wonderful event in a wonderful town.

The family has an excellent collection of cars that they bring to the event......plus they bring a bagpipe band!

Here's Alan and I playing at the 2014 PVGP. He's in the white Sprite.

Also, Peter, I know Alan sent you that link to the race car. And if you don't want to add a car to your stable, you can always race the Minor. ~Tom Cotter~ does!

Nial, you're quite the enabler! :wink-new: LOL It isn't so much adding a car to the stable as exchanging one for another. Anyone have a gently used racer to trade for a respectable 68 MGB?? :D
