55 FREE articles about British sports cars and 700 photos!

The winter edition of "The British V8 Newsletter" is now online - and there's a something for EVERYONE in this one!

This issue includes a special retrospective section on the "factory" MGB GT V8 model (17 articles), plus a section on the Rover aluminum V8 and the cars Rover put it in (6 articles), and 21 of our trademark "How It Was Done" articles! In other words, it's not just a magazine... it's a book.

Read it here: https://www.britishv8.org/British-V8-Current-Issue.htm

Got a story to share? A great photo? A news tip? Send them in! We're already working on the spring edition.

We're thinking of adding a regular section to the Newsletter where we'd take an in-depth look at one model of V8 (or V6) powered British car per issue.

Which car models would you be most interested in reading about?

Daimler SP250?
MG RV8?
MG SV-S?
MG ZT?
Morgan +8?
Rover SD1?
Sunbeam Tiger?
Triumph Stag?
Triumph TR8?
TVR (insert model here)?
Jensen Interceptor?
Aston Martin V8?

Did I forget to list your favorite? Should we go to the extremes: Ford GT40, Lotus GT-1, etc.? Or maybe we should just go back to covering engine swaps? Rankings would be helpful, if you've got the time.

We ran two MGC engine swap articles in the December 2006 issue... maybe it's time for more of those!

Don't you think a good article or two about the factory MG RV8 (with fifty or sixty big crisp color photos of contruction details) might help someone build a better MGB V8? Isn't the same true for TR8 relative to someone building a TR7 V8? I can't find where anyone else is documenting these cars properly. (Check out those Rover 3500S articles - where else do you find photos like that?) So... which cars would be most interesting?

Sorry, Curtis. You cannot get my dander up with the MGC comment this time. I'm on to you.

Would you please stop talking that trash in here??? You take a nice underpowered sports car and cram a V8 in it...and god know what else to make it all fit and fuction like a hot rod. It rumbles and shakes like an American pony car and blows the doors off of modern rice burners.

DANG, I WANT ONE! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif
