Recommendations for car transportation??

Finally, the Armstrong-Siddeley 346 is ready to be transported from the San Francisco area to the Houston area. I've gone on line and found a bewildering number of car transport companies eager to do the job, but I would really appreciate any comments on experiences from the forum. Any recent good experiences with a particular company? Thanks!

Reliable Carriers have moved two cars for me from the east coast to So Cal. Both times they were prompt and professional and the cars were in perfect condition.

I also used TFX International once with equally good results.

Although I have not used them personally, I have heard good things about Horseless Carriage Carriers.

When you choose a transport company, be sure to avoid brokers. They are just a middle man, so you pay more for transport and you don't even know who is actually moving the car for you. Ask if they own their own trucks, and ask if it is enclosed or open trailer. Open is cheaper but will not protect the car from weather, rock chips, etc.

Thanks very much!
