The one from Moss, while being at my place in 24 hours from buying it, is awfully expensive. I don't need it that urgently.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Good morning!

I spent some time working the 3 in 1 oil into the shaft and it seemed to help. I decided to let her sit overnight so I should know if it worked later today.

Thanks again for the coaching!

Some research to share on the Rebuild Kits;

It looks like all the majors offer then, but with a big price swing for what appear to be the same components.

The TRF kit https://www.zeni.net/trf/MGB-GC/41.php?s_wt=1024&s_ht=768 and the Victoria British kit https://www.victoriabritish.com/icatalog/t6/0068.html look to be better choices than the Moss kit.

Any suggestions as to if the TRF kit is better/worse than the Victoria British one?

Seems like there is a general opinion that TRF items are of a better quality than Victoria's. [not trying to slam Victoria here].

Tom-

If you are okay with ebay you can save a little more money potentially:

Two TR6 carb kits

Never did a direct comparison of kits to say what would be different, but I would think the gaskets would be comparable in all kits, you might see a difference in diaphram quality. Note that the TRF kit you highlighted appears to have grose jets, which I know some folks have sworn at before (no personal knowledge).

The ebay vendor on the link is one I've used before and have been happy with.
