My bride wants to buy me a new top for my TR250. I basically drive the car mostly with the top down & don't plan on showing the car other than for fun. I definately want the zip out rear window, but am undecided about paying the extra $100 for the reflective stipes.

Can anyone recomend a decent economical top to buy?

Thanks!

We put a Robbins top from Victoria British on my TR6. It has the zip out window, but no reflector stripes. I like it.

I too seldom use the top but drive far enough from home that I needed one 'just in case'. I also used the Robbins top (TR4) and found it to be inexpensive, well made, good fit and looks fine.

When I was shopping I got the best price from BPNW -- it pays to shop around on this item and hold out for a sale if time allows.

I just received my new top with zip out rear window from BPNW. Didn't see the need for spending extra money on reflective strips-rarely drive with top up. Besides, the $100 difference will buy alot of beer. Good luck. Now for the installation...

You know, I've got the reflective stripes on my top now, and I really don't like them. Times comes for me to get a new one I'm gonna save the extra money and get one without.

By the way Stinky, your car is awesome looking. You do the louvers in the hood yourself?

The louvers were there when I bought the car last year. The hood was louvered when the previous owner bought the car about 10 years ago. So we really don't know who did the louvers, or when they were done.
