My tail light assemblies need to be rechromed. Is there anyway to remove the two bowls that are attached? If I was able to get them out, can you buy replacements, in case I break them?

I looked in moss and trf catalogs last night, but I didn't see anything.

Rimmer brothers may offer them as repo's.

I assume you are talking about the reflectors? if so you can get them off but be very careful. I bought new assemblies on ebay and one didnt have a reflector in it and I took one off my tail light assembly by using a very small screwdriver by prying the lip up all the way around the reflector until it was able to pull free, stuck it in the new one and crimped it down with a pair of small long nose vice grips. it can be done

Thanks, I am talking about the reflectors. I didn't want to get them confused with the lenses.

I should have been clearer

jackag91, the plastic one for the brake light is a one stud peice and will work out slowly and if like most I have seen will be yellow with maybe a few flexs of silver. Clean it up and wipe down with a good cleaner and paint it with some chrome paint, you won't beleive the difference. Do you plan on polishing the lens or buying new.

I used silver leaf(like gold leaf)i found at a hobby store.OR one can use aluminum foil.I think another idea is small bottles of chrome paint(hobby store)Be careful what you use tho theirs heat buildup.

Thanks for the help. I was able to get the plastic reflectors out. But not the metal ones. Do you think I could get them rechromed with the metal ones still in?
