Wedge rebuilding tr8 brake calipers

I am rebuilding a set of tr8 struts and while replacing the brake pads I found out that there was a right and left pad for each caliper -- slightly different-- for proper seating. I had never seen this before, but the pads were clearly (if you looked) imprinted on the back as left and right. btw, pads were purchased from a reputable vendor (tsi) so I knew there was a reason the pad wasn't seating in the pocket right.

That's interesting. I replaced the pads in my TR8 with MetalMasters three years ago and don't remember seeing any differentiation of the pads. Haven't had any problems.

Interesting. Since the were marked right & left (rather than inner & outer) I suppose it is the direction of rotor rotation that they are trying to match.
