So, I'm working on the restoration and rebuilding of a 71 B that I bought as a roller about a year and a half ago. Spent about 6-8 weeks on body work (I'll show pics later). But I wanted to show what has been happening on the redo of the front suspension. I removed the entire front suspension and steering rack from the car, stripped it all down to bare metal and cleaned every nut, bolt and surface I could see. It's now painted and I'm in the process of reconstruction. The suspension isn't on the car yet as I'm now rebuilding the spindles and rebushing the entire front end. Here's a few shots of how it's coming along.
The shocks are staying the natural aluminum color with a clear coat to protect it. The wishbones are sprayed aluminum matallic and I've accented the bumper spacers with red to match the engine color. It's coming along nicely, don't you think?
I'll have more pictures of the steering rack and wheel spindles soon. Shots of the body work will be coming soon as well.
