Rebuilding Dual M/C

Gentlemen:
I am rebuilding the dual M/C on my 1960 BE, I have a few questions:

-When looking at the M/C the tube on the left hand side (the brake side), when I pulled out the plungers and springs a rubber washer stayed at the deep end of the tube. My rebuild kit has a replacement rubber washer, should I try to take out washer that is in there? If so, how do I get it out?
-The plungers have rubber washers around their necks, my rebuild kit has replacement washers, how do I get the old ones off and the new ones on?

Thanks in advance
Mike Pennell

That rubber washer on the brake bore will come out with a pick or screwdriver, it just sits in there.
As for the washers, they are probably just stuck to the pistons, they go between the rubber cup and piston. They should peel off with little effort.
