Rebuild Update

Well, at long last, I got the engine and transmission installed in the B today. Went in pretty smoothly - the only glitch was getting the transmission mounts lined up. We ended up taking the whole cradle apart and loosely fitting the mounts to the transmission, and fishing all the bolts through the holes. With the overdrive, two of the bolts on the mounts are nearly impossible to start, and even harder to tighten. But after much persuasion - physical and verbal - we got 'em in there. Everything looks good, and with any luck, I'll try to button everything else on it during the evenings this week, and see if it will run next weekend.

Glad the rebuild is progressing. Is your club going to have a show in Frankin this year? What are the dates, and will the B be ready in time?

Glad you asked!

This year the dates are Oct. 8-9. There will be a drive on Friday, I believe co-hosted by the Detroit Triumph Owners Club, a tour of the Lane Motor Museum, a reception Friday night, and the show on Saturday. Music will be by the Pickled Beats, a Beatle tribute group. The show will be in Pinkerton Park in Franklin, just south of Nashville. The B won't be ready, but I'll be there with the TR3!
