First time on.Hope I get this right.I have recently purchased a 49 Daimler db18 and hope to restore it.Discovered that the old 6 banger is pretty shot.I'm in dire need of any sources that would lead me to a rebuild kit or a running engine.I'm in south central Virginia and really don't want to order from U.K.Any help would be extremely appreciated.-Scott
 
Welcome to the forum! I used to own a 49 DB18 - a restoration project I never got around to. You're isn't light blue with dark blue fenders is it? (could have been repainted) From New Mexico?

Thank you for the reply.This car is silver and came from Cyprus.Very interesting history to this vehicle.Belonged to the U.K. then turned over to the crowned governor of Cyprus.I tried contacting Beales but no reply from his site.The DLOC site does not seem to allow my yahoo email or the brits don't want to deal with anyone who is not a paying member.but I'll try him again.I've had a horrible time trying to contact anyone across the pond.I'm really hoping to deal with someone in the U.S.My hope is to keep this jewel origional but my flathead V-8 ford engine is sitting nearby and aching to be pushing this bomb down the road.lol
 
There is a gentleman in Yorktown who may be able to help. He is a longtime member of the North American version of DLOC and has had Daimlers for decades. Interesting history on your car; good luck with the engine problem. Send me a PM if you want to contact him.
