Rear Springs

Hi Everyone
I am in the process of reconditioning my rear springs (clips, linings etc.), on my BJ7.
I noticed that the eyes for the bushings are two different sizes and my springs have two different style bushings.
But when I ordered the bushings, it called out 4 required, and of the same size (1" outer diameter).
My Austin Healey Service Parts List does as well.
Obviously, I'm not going to attempt to press in a bushing that is 0.150" too large.

Looking at the Moss website, I noticed that the same bushings for BJ8 springs, only calls out 2 required.

So here is my question, is it possible that someone put BJ8 springs in my '63 BJ7?
Does it sound like I described a BJ8 spring?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Cheers
Perry

The holes in the BJ8 rear leaf springs are about 3/4” on one end and 1” on the other end. That measurement might be off by 1/32 or so. I have an original set in my basement and I just measured them with a steel ruler graduated in 16ths of an inch.

Hi Perry,
I have installed new Leafs from Moss on my BJ7. My leafs are for BN4-BJ8 to (c)26704. Note the early BJ8's have the same Leafs as the BJ7's.
