Rear shocks

Hello all, I have two different rear lever arm shocks on the rear end. one has an almost straight arm the other one a more z angled arm. which is correct for a 74 midget thanks.
 
If memory serves me correct I believe I have straight arm shocks. I'll double-check this evening when back home.
 
Odd huh, I looked in the catalogs and there are two different # for shocks. one for 58 to 64 and the other 64 to 79 just not sure if it is a big deal or not. thanks for checking guys. Alan
 
Hey, I think I figured it out. it might be an MGB shock instead after looking at the pictures in the moss catalog, but I didn't think they were the same size.do y'all think that's possible.
 
Alan, An MGB shock body is too big to fit the Spridget mounting holes.

Without going into a lot of detail, there are only 2 different mounting flange configurations for the rear 2 bolt shocks. Small, like Sprite, early TRs, early big Healeys, Minors, Morgans. Big, like Bs, Cs, As, 65 on big Healeys, 65 on TRs, Saab 95 (yes, Saab)

If you can see the number that is stamped on the lower edge of one of the mounting ears, that will tell. If the arm is bent Z like, I would suspect 6076 (big Healey early) or TR2,3,4 with 6058 or 7999.... but it's just a guess;-)

Finally getting my crashed computer up to speed.
