Rear License Plate Lighting

Hello All!

The 2 wires connected to my rear license plate light are simply wrapped in electrical tape from the light to where they connect to the rear main harness in the trunk. Is this correct or is there a small harness (insulated) that should be used?

I want to add a fuse holder and fuse to the lic plate light, but before I do, want to make sure its all done the right way.

Thank you!
Bob

The 2 wires connected to the rear license plate light should be enclosed in a close fitting black plastic conduit-- Not wrapped in electrical tape from the light to where they connect to the rear main harness in the trunk.---Keoke- :driving:
