Don't remember for sure, but I probably wound the adjuster in to lock the drum. The drum would've been seated after tightening the recessed Posi-Drive screws holding it to the hub.richberman said:

This hint was from Roger Moment after he found his hub nuts coming loose. He recons that the usual method of setting the handbrake to hold the assembly from turning while tightening the hub nuts is not a good practice. The little set screws cannot suffucuently hold the drum all the way home. Apply the brakes whether by pedal or handbrake and that can suspend the drum slightly off being "home" as you tighten the nuts.
His method is to fit a bar between two of the lug nuts and the ground and hold it there with your foot. Now tighten the lug nuts and they'll fully seat themselves as required.
