TR2/3/3A Rear Fuel Line Clips

One of my rear fuel line clips is broken, and the part does not appear to be available from any of the suppliers. I can certainly use another type of clip that inserts into the hole, but then then locking feature will protrude inside the cabin. Does anyone know a good substitute part that will lay flat? Are there other solutions I should consider?

Yes those clips are impossible to find; they are the older ones. What I did was modify a clip I got from Moss. The clips if I remember right were on the tr4 fuel line page in the Moss catalog or possible a radiator over flow clip.

Anyways, I purchased a collection of clips off those pages and ground the sides until the clip was usable. It was a real pain.

I have in the past taken a small standard hose clamp and back that all the way off until the clamp was open and wove one end through the hole and picked up the line in the loop and rethreaded the clamp end back into the clamp then tightened the clamp.

On my restorations I have used the standard hose clamps .

Thanks for mentioning the TR4 fuel line clip Steve! I happened to find one (Moss P/N 589-045) in a parts box and was able to quickly modify with a Dremel cutoff wheel so that it would slide into the hole. It worked out really well. The fuel line is held securely in place and protrudes very little into the cabin.
