Rear Fender Fasteners

Doing some body work on my 66 Mark III. On the rear fenders, what fasteners are used to attach the front bottom part. On one side of my Healey a previous owner has used two bolts with nuts and the other side has two pop rivets. I'm preping the car for paint and would like to use the correct fasteners. If they should be bolts and nuts, what size?

Hi Doug,

Rear Wings:
The bottom front edge of rear wings was attached to the flange of the outer sills using 10-32 round head Phillips screws. No flat washer was used under the screw head, but a 7/16" OD flat washer, lock washer and nut are on the backside.

A #8 Phillips head sheet metal screw was run vertically up through the bottom of the fenders dogleg and into the extended portion of the rocker panel.

Front Wings:
The bottom edge of the front wing is attached to the outer sill flange by three 1/4-28 7/16-inch UNF bolts. There is a flat washer under the bolt head and again on the backside, followed by a lock washer and nut.
