Rear Engines Passe'?

Technically, my Elise is considered a mid-engined car, but certainly the engine is closer to the rear than to the front!

If the engine is ahead of the rear axle, it is mid-engined, if it is aft of the rear axle, it is rear-engined!

While we're musing on this: Since this is a British car forum, can anyone think of any rear-engined British production car other than the Imp?

One of the Ginettas used the Imp engine...

The G15?

It was real RWD

UPDATE...

Found a pic.

I've been up close and personal to the underside of one of 'em. The Delorean is indeed classified as a "Rear engine, rear drive".

Indeed...

They 'snap-spin' like a rear engine also
