Spitfire Rear engine mounts - Spitfire

The other day my grandson and I replaced the front engine mounts in my '74 Spit. I noticed a strange noise when I drove it afterwards. I now have it up in the air and noticed that the rear mounts are comepletely deteriorated.
It looks as tho I would have to removed the bottom plate and also the mounting bracket to replace them. (Can't get tools into the nuts)
Does anyone know the easiest way to replace these?
Does the transmission tunnel cover come off from the inside and could I go thu there to do it?
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Smoke

Thanks. I couldn't imagine doing it from underneath.

Thanks again.
