I have been chatting online with a fellow wedge owner and here is his basic description on how he upgraded to rear disk on his tr7.btw, his project is for sale on the portland craigs list. I haven't seen it or pix so I don't know how it works. He used his tr7 as a daily driver in Idaho for 15 years, even in the winter.
"My rear brakes are from a late 80's Sterling 825 I found in a U-Pull-It. I know they're identical to an acura legend, but I liked the idea of them coming from a british badged car. It really took very little fitting, just a pair of caliper adapter plates and drilling the disc retaining screw holes out, as they were the proper spacing for the wheel studs. the parking brake line even clipped right on with no modification and works far better than it ever did with drums."
