Rear brake assembly pics needed!!

I have a 1959 Bugeye with drums all around. I have a Haynes manual but it doesn't show which holes the 2 springs that hold the 2 rear brake shoes together and provide tension go in. The shoes have several holes that both the springs can fit in. Does anybody know which holes I should use? Does anybody have a pic of the rear brake assembly?

According to the VB catalog the rear brakes are the same for the 59 and mine (67) and I just went through mine and I think I took photos - An easier method is to place the shoes on the backing plate and engage the tops in the wheel cylinder slots and just hold the springs up to the series of holes - there's only one set per spring they'll work on correctly - the spring will be just a little shorter than the correct holes.
<ake sure you have the right springs in the right place:
the longer one with the two coils, one on each end is the top spring nearest the wheel cylinder. The one with one coil in the middle is the lower spring.

I'll try and locate the photos, but one thing I remember - it's a whole lot easier redoing the brakes if the hub is removed - I was doing the bearings and seals anyway so it was out - you might consider going this route - chances are the seal may be old and perished and new hub bearings never hurt anything.

Sorry about the delay - I couldn't get on the forum all day yesterday - I guess Basil was doing some required maintenance after being away for a while. Anyway, got to this link and I have posted several photos of the rear brake assembly - I couldn't find the ones I had taken previously so I just yankied the wheel and brake drum. Click on each photo for an enlarged view - I think they're clean enough where you can see the ends of the springs against the brake shoe.

Good luck - hopr these help.
