I can't remember how many splines are on MGB banjo axle splines (spider gear side). Are they the same as MGA? We're talking wire wheel axles here. IIRC, I think MGA wire wheel axles are 10 spline.
 
Early MGA's are coarse spline 10 X 1 1/8 , I think. MGA MKII's with 4.11 ratios went to the fine splines and are the same axle drive gears as Banjo MGB's. That is the way I remember it.
