From what one can see, looks good. Current bid is good.
At what point do you get away with calling it "original"?

"rebuilds of the dual SU carburetors and throttle shafts, new rear axle seals, and replacement of the wheel bearings, water pump, belt, and hoses"....yeah, consumables....but throttle shafts at 56K?

Dead serious. Except for the dashboard alterations, that's about the most original interior I've seen in a bugeye in years. All the rubber mats, door liners, seat covers, door pockets, rear shelf hardura, door lacing, check straps, etc are still the original factory material. Just try and find another bugeye with all those things intact.

This is the 1st on I have seen with the exhaust bracket shown in this pic. My care was pretty original, but just had a blank plate in that spot.
The price has moved up considerably, so I will be curious where it ends.
The engine green is brighter than I've seen before. Is that aftermarket green paint? Also, the trans is blue.
Otherwise, it looks like a pretty good car. It's very interesting to see things like the weather stripping along the interior door/dash area. This whole ad presents some pretty good photos of many original elements.

well, if those are originals and not something replaced 50 years ago....I do have a bit of experience with "original" interior bits.
From the fade I see, and he age we seem to agree on....you start using that, and it will fall apart. Stitching, fabric.....if you want it "original", you make it a trailer queen, push on and off the trailer, take it to shows.
Last set of 40+ year old mats started falling apart within the year, at 8 the last was in the trash.
We'll see.
