I must have the bug. I stopped and left a note at a home where this car had been sitting for the last several years.
I noticed it after buying my TR6 and thought it might be a Spitfire.
I figured I wouldn't get a call, however tonight I received one from the son of the mother who lives there.
It is a 1980 Spitfire, someone drove it there to let the sister's boyfriend do some dent repair and paint it. This never was finished, it has the interior out of which the seats and other parts, have been stored inside. It has been sitting for about 9 years, of which 5 was in a garage and 4 under a carport. It drove in. The son is working on getting the title and if in the final steps of receiving it.
They want $600. It has a hard top and when I looked very briefly under the hood, the exterior of the engine looked in good shape. He claims that everything is there.
I am going to take a longer look tomorrow and take some photos.

There is no medication to help you. Just add to your collection until the urge to buy goes away.

Price sounds right, especially if it is the factory steel hardtop.

Sounds like a good deal as long as the paperwork is there. Otherwise, could be more hassle than it's worth.
