RE: Requesting help with identifying suspected rear brake adjuster piece?

Found this piece below work area while rebuilding rear brake drums and rear cyl on 1960 3000. Not sure if it even is part of rebuild, but suspect it may be part of brake adjuster. Any observations appreciated.

It did not come off an Austin Healey.

Not a standard Healey item but could have been used to secure the handbrake cable onto the chassis.. I have seen similar home made parts used for this purpose..

I don't recognize it either, but perhaps if the picture were smaller...

For future reference, I think most of the guys on here are at least middle aged and beyond (I was a KID at 24 when I bought mine, and even in 1978, most of the owners I'd meet were over fifty__some waaay over fifty) so a higher resolution image would be very much appreciated. You know, we just want to help you.

If you found it on the floor, it likely came off a Healey !
