Hi folks. Just thought I would update on where I am with my GT rebuild. On Sunday, I was able to get the engine to start, after I switched the wires around on the Mallory Dizzy, but with no exhaust on, It was only to see if it would fire. Yesterday, I put the exhaust system on and had the engine running for over half an hour total. Ran perfectly, no leaks (yet) and sounded beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgeq-IirMKQ
I was half in the garage so it was a tad loud.

Today I started on the interior, with the Moss Deluxe kit I bought in '96. Still have to finish putting the windshield in as I didn't like the first one and switched it out. And my helpers from the first one are no where to be found. :frown: I still have some electrical issues that I can't seem to resolve, lighting wise but Hopefully that won't be too difficult.
Here are a few pics from the last couple weeks and where I am right now:

I still have to tackle the door insides. Not looking forward to that as it looks a tad tricky.. but...

Very nice work Paul! The car's looking great! PJ

Very nice work, Paul. And don't let the door innards intimidate ya.

Looks awesome Paul - you'd better be at Bronte! Have you ever considered painting the bumpers the same colour as the body? It would look really sharp with that colour!

Hopefully it will be at Bronte. The plan was to take it to Belleville for MG2010 but now some Family health issues have crept up and there may be a major operation during that time. :frown: We might try to get down for two days with it though.
Thanks for the positive responses. I am really getting excited about this now... not sure if it was from taking 2 weeks away from doing anything on it earlier in the month, due to frustration, but glad I am back at it.
Not sure if I asked before but where in Long Branch are you John? I work at Lakeshore and Kipling.

Paul

you are very close - you must be at Humber? I am at Lakeshore and 33rd. And Mark (Abarth69) is off Brown's Line. I work from home, so, come by for a beverage.

I did call Rick but whomever answered told me you were, now how did he put it. "Praying to the ceramic bowl" or something like that. I told him not to bother you. Next time I suppose, Eh?
Hopefully you didn't change your celebration plans because of it.
