Use a couple of cans of auto primer (black if you can find it) then sand with 1000 grit wet/dry paper. Then the gloss will go down MUCH better. The trick with the gloss is to put on a thinner gloss coat and let it get tacky (10 minutes) then come back with a good medium, wet on wet, coat. It will give you the best result possible for a cheap son of a gun like you. I know this because I'm a cheap son of a gun myself. Good Luck!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif Black primer is like gold around here, usually sold out everywhere....so I keep a stash; Duplicolor Black Sandable Primer is good stuff if you can find it.

And don't skimp on the tack cloths after wet sanding.

and don't mix the cans of beer up with the cans of paint. That can ruin a really good day of painting, no matter which way the mistake goes... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You dont need paint you need stickers lots of them. I bet if you did it right you could gain a min of 50hp and as a bonus be the envey of every 15/16 year old on the block.
