There was a post on the MG forum about rare parts,well here is a pix of a rare TR4 early TR6 part.

I think its a special racing part as used by Kash Krashner.

Without one of these,..you're a nobody.

Not an accelerator pedal, wrong foot.
 
Looks like a vintage Mr Gasket high-beam switch cover that pushes over the dip switch on the floor.
 
Ha...brings back memories. I had the large one (right foot) on the accelerator of my '65 Midget back in high school (circk 1968) and the little one (like above) on the dimmer switch. Mine came from J C Whitney (didn't everything?) but could have have been a Mr. Gasket item...can't recall.
