Wait, how is the front end dented in like that and not exploded, I thought they were all fiberglass body?
 
Looks more like the interior exploded. There is a fair amount of empty space in front behind the grill, guess it is a crumple zone.

good observation - on my Midget I understand the cockpit is te crumple zone :cryin:
 
They do quite well in a collision, all things considered. I suspect they hold up better than many modern tin vehicles.

I sent someone to go and check out the car on the weekend (it's a 6000 km round trip for me to go myself).

It's sold! Not sure if they bought it for parts or restoration. I'm surprised they got that much cash for it.
