Rag Top frame for 100-6 question

Hi, I am a new owner of a '59 100-6. My issue is that I am putting a new top on the car this winter, but not sure that the top frame that came with the car is the correct one. Looking at the Moss listings for frames, it seems like the '59 falls between the top frame that pivots as in the 100-4 and early 100-6 and the later 3000 frames that are inserted into a hole. My frame inserts to a hole, but the previous owner, who has owed the car since 1978, is the one not sure if it is the right frame. Moss lists a part number for the frame, but it is not available. So, I was wondering if anybody might know the story on this short run of a couple of years where the frame listed is different, or is it different? Is it really the same as the 3000 frame so that is why it is not available? Any pictures might help.
Thank you,
Dave

Thank you! The second site, the healeysix, had all the information. I have the late 100-6 frame that inserts into the holes. Looks like the frame I have is the right one. This is the one that is between the early one attached to the car and the later 3000 frame which is thicker. Another problem solved and I do not have to buy a new frame, even if I could find one.

andrea - when did you put together the 56 photo group for the top. That is exactly what I was looking for my project in January.

Thanks
Jim :driving:

I have an early 100-6 frame that has that loop at the lower end. I do not need and want to sell.

It appears that I have the right top frame thanks to the info a responder sent me. I have the later version that fits into the holes.

The link that Andrea sent me, Healeysix.net, was helpful as to pointing out that I have the right frame for my late 100/6 ('59), but it states that the frame has its own hole, does not go into the tonneau cover holes. Does it mount into the hard top mount holes in front of the tonneau cover holes?

Thank you. Just needed to confirm as I have to install a new top so I want to make sure I have all the frame info correct.
