radio upgrade

Darn man, don't do that, where would the fun be. Besides it helps keep the skin loose.

You do what works for you. There are some really nice remote controlled units that use a small control unit the size of a credit card and nothing shows in the cockpit, so you can have you tunes and vintageness in tact. The unit is about 12" square and 3" tall and fits in the trunk.

Good Listening...

In the Victoria British catalogue and in Kit Car magazine they advertise a system called Secret Radio. All the big stuff goes in the trunk, but a nice head unit fits in the console and you use a remote to operate some of the features. I would put the trunk portion in a custom case and use a quick release plug for all the wires so that I could take it all out in a jiffy at a show. I would mount all the speakers under the dash. I might put one or more speakers on a sliding bracket so I could swing them into the passenger compartment when cruising alone.

Good Morning. I have a favor to ask from someone with a bj8 because I don't have immediate access to my car. I need the measurements of the radio mount on the console: shaft to shaft distance and the bezel openning. Thanking you in advance!
