Radio installation

Last week I mentioned about the small speakers I have installed on my 70. I have attached a few pictures showing the install in the trunk and the take-a-way radio face for security. Just thought this would be of interest to some.

What if you don't have an alternator? I had a real cheapo circa 1980 Mono Audiovox AM/FM in the car that I have taken out to upgrade. (this came with the car) I was going to go for a CD player with amp but realized I might not bea able to. What is recommended that will let me listen to tunes but not kill tha car.

This is a low priority thing for me. I have a few things to go, to be road worthy, and want to listen to the car for some time before I crank the tunes.
Can't do much about rear speakers in a GT. Or can I?

Thos sail panels will hold a 4 or 5 inch speaker pretty easily.. Or those pioneer "wedge" speaker boxes sitting at the rear on the floor would work too.

I have a panel with a speaker (original I think) installed on it that I could take of picture of for you, but I think that if you have an original panel or a suitable replacement, it is pretty obvious where the speaker goes...right over the section with the slots in it.

Just for info. the orginal radio in a MK I had the speaker in the radio pointing toward the floor.
