Radiator Surround Sheetmetal

Has anyone had trouble fitting the two sheetmetal pieces on either side of the radiator supports? One I know is for the right side as it has the big hole for the fresh air intake. When I try to fit them in they don't line up with anything on the fender side. There are holes on one side that look like they should match up to the radiator support. Also wondering if I'm missing pieces for the install. I have two L-shaped brackets, but not sure if they're for these sheetmetal pieces. By the way the radiator and shroud are out of the car.
 
you're best bet is to get a picture of the engine compartment. the two "L" shaped brackets mount from the wheel arch to the radiator supports. The brackets are different (i.e., left/right) and mount on specific sides. The two splash plates then mount to the "L" brackets. In all, those four parts should mount without any other parts othe than nuts and bolts.
