I agree with Keoke. I just today took my stock radiator in for an estimate to install a "desert core," i.e. a core with many more columns and 4 rows. In my semi-urban environment (just off downtown Denver) to install the core and repaint it in hi-temp gloss black, braze back on the top fan shroud, taxes, etc. came to $340.00. From what I've read, heard and experienced, the re-coring process is not rocket science, i.e. it's probably more important to focus on getting a good core vs. obsessing on the shop; if the shop is solid/competent at the craft you should be fine. I'd dig deeper and more thoroughly, however, for an engine rebuild, etc. Obviously just my opinion.
