As John says - about a ÂĽ" along the bottom was all I was able to retain. But you can experiment by filling slightly higher knowing it will puke out any excess. After a couple of hot drives you can look and see what level it 'likes'.
I put an overflow tube on the radiator but it was not long enough so when it puked out the excess it went on the fan and fan belt causing the alternator pullet to slip. I have extended the tube so it exits under the car now.
