Kon-Tiki 2012.


I remember the 1950 documentary, and really enjoyed this re-telling.
 
I read the book way back in junior high school.
 
I remember the original documentary too. Will have to check this one out.
 
Yes a great movie, great story! I saw it a few years ago. If I recall correctly, it was honest and not too “Hollywood”?
 
I grew up loving Kon Tiki, it's quite the adventure, even if the theory was seriously flawed. I have the book, the original documentary, the movie, and the watch. Eterna claims to have provided watches to the crew of the Kon Tiki to test during their voyage. I also owned a modern Kon-Tiki but at 45 mm it always felt too large to me, as I always wear old watches. It was beautiful though.
