I can not find my dizzy hold down clamp.

Are they all the same on midgets and Bs? Are the dizzys interchangeable, not to run necessarly but will they mount?

If so I have one comming from Tony.

Jack,
I have 25D on both the Midget and the B. The dizzy caps are different (but clamps look the same), but the years are similar, I'm not sure about earlier models.
Hope it helps.

Jack - I've got lots of them for B's...have 1 MG1100 engine that has one on it & have a 1500 disassembled engine.

Which do you think you want?

So, I go out back to the engine building & check - its the same clamp on a 1098 as on an 1800....so I hurriedly pull & package the 1098 clamp to rush to the Post Office...I get there &......

IT's VETERAN's DAY!!! I KNEW THAT!!

That's how my entire day has gone.....painters & my wife are driving me crazy...I go to the doctor this afternon (FEDEX picks up 6 boxes while I'm gone) & he tells me that nex week he's planning on putting me out & 'manipulating' my shoulder while I'm asleep! He wants to break the darned thing! Well, he wants to break up the deposits in the socket...he said the physical therapy I'm doing is helping but its gonna take 6 months if we wait for that.

I am glad he's trying everything possible before cutting - but it just doesn't sound pleasant that he has to knock me out so I won't feel the pain when he 'manipulates' the shoulder!

....& waterbase primer won't come out of new jeans!

The clamps and dizzys are the same except for the advance curves. They all are interchangable, except for the fact that there are the early and late models, which differ in just about everything. Even 6 cyl units differ in only the cap and the points cam. The Non-vacuum units came on some Minis and some MGBs, and the TR5 - TR6 had a tachometer drive on it. I'm using one of those on my Bugeye so I don't have to deal with the generator drive.

Excellent, kind of what I though but really had no idea.

Wouldn't you know it I am to the point of installing the dizzy then adjusting the valves. All else done.

Well guess I can work on yard till it comes. The suspense is killing me, will it have good oil pressure.
