Quick Parts Ordering Questions

I'm just about to place my huge order with VB as their sale ends in a couple of days.

To recap, I have a '76 Midget that has not run in about 14 years. I am basically replacing everything rubber. I am not however creating a show car. The car is basically rust free including componants.

Questions,

1. Suspension Kits (p. 60 of sale catalogue)

which one do I need?

2. Brake kits (p. 65)

Which one do I need? (rotors are surface rusty, I haven't taken the brakes apart yet)

Tony (or someone with used parts) I need a Hazard switch for the dashboard (29.95) and possibly a wiper wheel box (39.95) Are they better to get used? are they available?

PS does anyone have a parts # for the nuts that go over the sleeves on the exterior of the wiper wheel box? A long time ago someone said that the MGB catalogue had them, the Midget Catalogue does not.

TIA
JP

Ahh, before you place that big order, even on sale, you best let Tony price it for you. Chances are he can save you bucks even with their sale prices.

Thanks Jeff, Jack I did email Tony just now, thanks for the suggestion, Tony check your email /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Got it - problem is VB #'s & Moss #'s don't always match piece for piece....only way I can tell is if you can give me Moss #'s...if you don't have a catalog, its on line...for example: VB & Moss packabe bearings differently so a VB# might not contain everything a Moss# does - or vice versa

Well, I've finished the list...some of my prices are lower than VB's sale price, some the same, some a little higher... in the end, it balances out...however, when shipping to Canada, VB will always beat me because of their great corporate freight contract

...however, on any normal day (i.e., no sales prices) I can always beat VB - & my shipping inside the US is a cheap as theirs.

good exercise.

I'm gonna call FEDEX Monday to discuss international shipments to see if I can lower my costs.
