Ok the 75's running again and once I get the new tappets run in it's going on the road however how does the od switch work?

I know it's on the windshield wiper stalk but which way is engaged? Forwards or back towards the steering wheel?
 
man, it has been a long winter, but I am pretty sure forward (toward the dash) is out and backward (toward the wheel) is engaged,
