gentlemen, I mocked up the insulation panels (the firewall) on my 59 100/6 BN4 from Moss. I guess I accidently threw out the sheet that said what paint and color best replicated the original. Can someone tell me what to use? please. Thank you, Doug

Thanks Bob, I thought I remembered reading with the kit that there was a recommended paint and color........again, thanks

Are we talking about asbestos heat shield on the firewall? (I know the reproductions aren't asbestos anymore). If so, the natural color is correct, but if you want to protect the material a little and make it easier to clean, you can spray it with rustoleum primer. The off-white color of the primer is almost exactly the same color as the original material, it's flat, and it will prevent grease and dirt from getting into the material making it easy to wipe clean.

yes, the firewall heat shield material. it was the rustoleum primer off-white that I was looking for! Thanks Keith! regards, Doug

Im in the process of doing my 64 and the original asbestos panels are in great shape but stained with age and overspray etc . I used" Kilz " its a flat white stain blockinig primer . Worked great for me .

hi Doug
I also used a flat white stain block primer, about three coats.
