The N.Y. Chainsaw Massacre????????????? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

I suspect the sill covers can be polished up /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Yeah the sill covers are coming off. I'm just waiting for the WD40 to kick in and loosen the screws on it. Everything of use is coming off and I hope to have it cut up in the next day or two. The front end has no bolts holding it on and the body is just resting on it. The rear is the last major piece. Heater box a few pipes and the sill cover on the drivers side is the last of the savable parts. Making room in the driveway.
If you've seen the other pics of the car after I got it, you'll know why I am cuting it up. Lotta pics but if you are into rusty hulks, you'll enjoy this.

The rust isn't that bad. Hey, a little bondo here and some patches there and she'll be "Ebay restored". " Like new, L@@K , Only $45,000 for classic restored MG." /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

You forgot to include ~RARE~ in your description! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

I tried that but I listed it as original classic never painted and rare. It only gor up to about 5Gs and I "know" it worth more.

oooh overdrive ~drool~
hehehehe.
That hurts.
I'd love to have a BGT. they just look good to me.
But I understand ~said while leaning on part of a cut up TR4A body~

...and I did not even know it had it until I got it home. The best part was the price. $00.00.

Actually, I did something similar to my B/GT V8 project to ease engine removal...

I have a removable slam panel. The old slam panel was cut out, leaving 6 inch "ears" on either side. New slam panel trimmed, fitted, and bolted onto ears of old slam panel.

The 3.9 litre Rover wil now slide in and out without much ado.

I've got another BGT which if I had the time would love to do the conversion. Money is the other thing holding me back. Wonder if I could find a Rover in a junkyard somewhere.

Good thing the roadster I just got is a 74. The 74 BGT will not go to waste at all.
