 In my travels to the wrecking yard,I came across a gentleman who in our discussion told me that he has a 1957 MGA and a 1959 Triumph TR2 (?) for sale.

His description of the MGA is that it is a basket case with a engine on the stand. All there. He has no desire to do anything with either of them, and told me to bring a "Fair Offer" He said a good number to start with was $3K

Anyone, what would be a fair offer to for a basket case MGA?

I'm thinking $1500

1500 Sounds like a good number to me for a true basket case. If the metal is straight and solid then 3K isn't unreasonable.
